A work in progress. A cabin I am trying to build using only recycled materials. Hoping to one day call it the guest cabin...a place to go and relax!

That Cabin in the woods
I thought I would start a little thing about the cabin in the woods I am building.
I am trying to use materials I already have on hand...IE Trees, an old farmhouse and other items. I started this project July of 2007. It is roughly a 12x12 floor plan.
Materials so far:
Trees
Beams and various other wood from an old farmhouse
Wool for insulation
Spikes
A few Nails
Wood sealer for the old wood taken from the old farmhouse.
The floor is made from the wood I took from the farmhouse. Cabin is also on post and pillar, I used rocks from the property.
As I make progress I will post more pictures and updates.
So here you go today's update.
I have been pondering what to use for chinking, I have read about some mixtures that I will try soon, for now I thought I would put to use some wool we have laying around taking up space, why not use something that works great for clothing and blankets. So I stuffed the logs with some wool. The picture above is the before stuffing.
